A country located at the northern end of South America. It borders Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. The Venezuelan War of Independence lasted from 1810 to 1823 and was a long conflict against Spanish colonial rule.

The country is home to Angel Falls, the world's tallest uninterrupted waterfall. The country is also home to the famous Mount Roraima. The Carnival of El Callao is a colorful and vibrant event held in Venezuela’s coastal region. Venezuelans eat arepas, which are corn cakes filled with beans, cheeses or meats.
