Twin sister of Alex Hirsch, best known as the creator of Disney's Gravity Falls. She became the inspiration behind the show's main character, Mabel Pines.

She always wanted a pet pig growing up, which is why in the series her character Mabel gets one.

She and her brother grew up in Piedmont, California; they attended Piedmont High.
