R&B singer best known for being one-third of the R&B group Sisters With Voices AKA SWV. They released their debut studio album It's About Time in 1992, which went on to became certified multi-platinum for having over 2 million copies shipped to stores. They disbanded in 1998 before eventually reuniting in 2005.

Before Fame

At age 16, she dropped out of high school to support herself and her then newborn daughter. She and SWV began performing together in 1990 as a gospel group initially.

In August 2015, the group released the promo single "Ain't No Man" to iTunes as a preview for their 5th studio album.

Family Life

She was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Her father left the family when she was 10, leaving her mother to care for her and her 5 siblings. By age 17, she was a mother of two.

She, along with Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George and Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, co-founded SWV after being introduced by mutual friends.
