About

The winner of the 1973 Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Universe pageants, Moran-Floirendo is also notable for heading the Ballet Philippines dance company and for working as a humanitarian activist in her native country. She is the chairperson of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

After graduating from Maryknoll College in Quezon City, Philippines, she earned a bachelor's degree in business from Boston University and a master's degree from the University of London.

Trivia

She received not only the Miss Universe title but also the pageant's "Miss Photogenic" award. In 2017, she played the character Mama in the drama romance movie Last Night. 

Family Life

She is the granddaughter of the fifth President of the Philippines Manuel Roxas. Before divorcing, she and her husband of three decades, politician Antonio R. Floirendo, Jr., raised daughters named Gabrielle and Monica.
