Before Fame

He played professionally with the San Diego Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns from 1967 to 1976.

Trivia

He won the NBA Coach of the Year award three times and the NBA Executive of the Year award in 2011.

Family Life

He married Christine Riley in 1970 and he has a daughter named Elisabeth and a son named James.
