About
Six-year-old Hushpuppy goes in search of her lost mother once her father mysteriously gets sick. Hushpuppy must learn to have courage even when the ice caps around her ramshackle bayou community melt and unleash ancient aurochs.

Actor
Hushpuppy is played by 2012's youngest Academy Award nominee, Quvenzhane Wallis. Dwight Henry plays alongside her as her father, Wink.
