Indian educator, motivational speaker, civil services mentor, YouTuber, and social media personality also known as known as Bala Latha Madam and known for her inspiring life story, advocacy for aspirants preparing for India's toughest competitive exams, and her online guidance through YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. She is also known for overcoming numerous challenges including disability and depression, cracking the highly competitive UPSC Civil Services Examination twice, serving in the Government of India, and building a coaching career.

Before fame

She lost the use of her legs at 11 months old due to a severe reaction to polio medication. She pursued her education through private study and distance learning before enrolling at Osmania University. She prepared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination without formal coaching and cracked the exam in 2004. She earned a posting with India's Ministry of Defense in 2007. She retook the exam in 2016 and improved her rank. She started her YouTube channel in 2017. She eventually resigned from service in 2019 to devote herself full-time to teaching and mentoring aspirants.

Trivia

She is also the founder of the CSB IAS Academy. She was honored as a Dr Batra's Positive Health Hero in 2023. She is also a writer whose articles have appeared in major Telugu newspapers including Andhra Jyothi and Namaste Telangana.

Family life

She was born to parents Mallavarapu Shouraiah Garu and Vijaya Rani who supported her through her education and recovery. She married Chappidi Suresh Babu, and they have a son named Charwik Shourya together.
