Canadian Jesuit priest and philosopher who was remembered as one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century.
He spent four years studying at Loyola College in Montreal.
He was respected for his thorough knowledge of subjects like the Trinity and Christology and was asked to write textbooks on both topics.
He died in a Jesuit infirmary in November 1984.
He obtained additional degrees at the University of London where fashion designer Christopher Cane also studied.
