Weapons and tactics instructor, company founder and CEO, and on-camera educator known for co-creating and starring in Magpul Dynamics' influential training films The Art of the Tactical Carbine from 2008 to 2010 and for running his own training company Costa Ludus.

Before fame

He joined the U.S. Coast Guard at 17 straight out of high school. He had a combined 12 years in the U.S. Coast Guard with seven years in the private sector working on DHS contracts. He spent seven years with Applied Marine Technologies, Inc. on assignment to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Risk Management Division. He then spent four years as president of Magpul Dynamics from 2007-2011 before founding Costa Ludus in 2011.

Trivia

His Art of the Tactical Carbine film series is considered a cult reference for modern rifle craft and has a cult following. He is also known for appearing in several viral Japan shooting range appearances and for his Instagram where he shares shooting and fitness content with over 160,000 followers.
