Czech biathlete won won silver medals in the mixed relay and the 12.5 kilometer mass start at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. In 2015, she received the Crystal Globe as the winner of the mixed relay event at the Biathlon World Cup.
She began training as a biathlete in 2005 and was accepted onto the Czech national team in 2007. She participated in the Biathlon Junior World Championship in 2008.
She is a talented singer and performed at the gala for a Czech biathlon in 2013.
Her mother is Olympic cross-country skier Gabriela Svobodová. She has dated badminton player Petr Koukal.
She won her first Biathlon World Cup the year after Belarus' Darya Domracheva did the same.
