Brazilian volleyball player who was a member of Brazil's national team. He competed in several Olympic Championships as a middle blocker as well as in several World League Championships. He received a gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. 

Before Fame

He first began playing professionally as a part of the 4Torri Ferrara team in Italy. After switching through several other Italian teams, he began playing professionally for several Brazilian teams. He won his first gold medal with Brazil in 1997 at the Grand Champions Cup in Japan. 


He has won several individual awards for his playing including at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing where he won the Best Blocker award. 

Family Life

His younger brother Murilo is also a professional volleyball player. He married his wife Rachel and together they have two sons, Enzo and Eric.
