Thai country music singer and songwriter often referred to simply as Hugo who rose to viral fame through his bluegrass cover of Jay Z's "99 Problems." His debut album, Old Tyme Religion, was released in May 2011.
He grew up near the Chao Praya River in Thailand. He was a member of the band Siplor as a teenager.
His cover of "99 Problems" was featured in the Natalie Portman comedy No Strings Attached (2011) and the remake of Fright Night (2011).
He married a woman named Tassanawalai in 2009. His mother is author and environmental activist Narisa Chakrabongse.
He co-wrote the 2008 Beyonce song "Disappear."
