Screenwriter and director who created the telenovela Avenida Brasil, which broke numerous ratings records in Brazil and was sold to more than 100 other countries. Other shows for which he has written include Rules of the Game, Segundo Sol and Shades of Sin.
He began his career as the writer and director of the film Zero Zero (1991) when he was in his early twenties.
He was named by Época magazine as one of the 100 most influential Brazilians in 2012.
He is the son of painter Arthur José Carneiro and the brother of actress Claudia Ohana.
He created Avenida Brasil, which starred Adriana Esteves.
