Brazilian journalist and writer who is known for his work as an editor and columnist for The State of Sao Paulo. He is also known for having published several books and biographies including As Tabuas do Sol, Atras do Palanque, and Veneno na Veia. He is also known for his television appearances on the SBT and TV Gazeta networks.
He started his career in journalism in 1968 as a film critic for the paper Diario da Borborema. He then worked his way up to editor of politics at O Estado de S. Paulo. He gained further attention when he served as editor and writer of Jornal de Tarde from 1996 until 2012.
He was awarded the Esso Prize for Economic Journalism in 1976.
He was born and raised in Uirauna on the border of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceara. He married Magdala Ramos and together they have three children.
