Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer, vocalist, entertainer, artist, performer, composer, musician, and songwriter known for songs such as "Whine," "Handcuff", "Too Young," "Destiny," "Stay Dung Deh," and "Too Young."

Before fame

She began singing in her church's choir as a youth and first tried modeling and pageantry before focusing fully on music. She first gained attention with her 2019 single "Baddest-ish (Notice)" and followed this with "Hi School" later in 2019. Her big break came with her hit song "Whine" in 2020.

Trivia

She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in management studies from The University of the West Indies in 2022 and earned upper second-class honors. She was named one of DancehallMag's "Next Women of Dancehall" in 2021.

Her full name is Lanae Gillette. She has a younger brother and comes from a musical family.
