Blogger and author who rose to massive fame for her debut book I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual. She saw it debut at #5 on the New York Times' best-sellers list in September 2016, and has seen it become optioned for a TV series produced by Shonda Rhimes.
She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She began blogging in 2003, and through her recaps of the show Scandal, her work came to the attention of Shonda Rhimes.
She launched her hugely popular podcast in Rants and Randomness with Luvvie Ajayi. She was the first ever writer invited to speak at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in 2016.
While born in Nigeria, she moved to Chicago with her family at age 9.
She and Yvonne Orji have co-hosted the podcast Jesus and Jollof.
