Princess of the country of Jordan who is the daughter of King Hussein of Jordan from his third wife, Queen Alia. She is an avid equestrian and the five time winner of Jordanian National Show Jumping Championship.
She attended Badminton School for Girls in Bristol, and later Oxford University, where she earned degrees in philosophy, politics, and economics.
She was Jordan's flag-bearer in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she represented her country in equestrian show jumping.
Her father is King Hussein I and her mother is his third wife, Queen Alia. In 2004 she married Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai.
Her father, King Hussein of Jordan, is credited with the modernization of their native country.
