Famous as the founder and CEO of the art educational space TinkerLab. She had her debut book TinkerLab: A Hands-on Guide for Little Inventors published in 2014, which soon after became the #1 best selling book in the crafts for kids genre.
She earned her bachelor's degree in theater and costume design from UCLA in 1996. She would later earn her master's in arts in education from Harvard University's School of Education.
She worked as a costume designer on the films What Dreams May Come and A Civil Action. Her TinkerLab blogs was featured as a top 25 creative mom blog by Circle of Moms.
She is married with two daughters.
