Professional journalist and blogger who became the youngest regular op-ed writer for The New York Times in 2009. He has also worked as a senior editor for The Atlantic and has contributed to The Wall Street Journal and The Weekly Standard.
He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2002.
He has authored several books including 2012's Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics.
He married writer and reporter Abigail Tucker in 2007. His mother Patricia is a writer and his father Charles is an attorney.
He wrote a 2018 book in which he discussed Pope Francis and the future of Catholicism.
