Nigerian-American novelist and teacher who specializes in creative writing. She is most recognized for her Young Adult Fantasy novel entitled "Children of Blood and Bone" which was picked up by Fox 2000 and Temple Hill Productions for a feature film adaptation. 

Before Fame

She graduated from Harvard University with an honors degree in English literature. She then went on to study African mythology and culture in Salvador, Brazil.
