Brazilian soccer referee known for refereeing in both the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. He has been one of FIFA's international referees since 2013. Aside from FIFA, he also represents the Federação Goiana de Futebol in the Brazilian state of Goiana.

He began refereeing at the age of 15.

Trivia

He was elected as one of the best referees in the 2012 Brazilian championships. He was part of the video assistant referee team when it was first introduced in the 2018 World Cup. In the 2022 World Cup, he refereed four matches. 

Family Life

His brother Sávio Pereira Sampaio is also a referee on FIFA's list.
