Originally airing on the Discovery Inc. subsidiary channel Destination America, the show followed the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings team as they researched and found evidence of unidentified creatures in the Appalachian Mountains.
Trivia
The show also had a side-series titled Mountain Monsters: Uncaged. A fifth and final season aired in 2017 until the Travel Channel revived the show in 2019.
