Portuguese DJ and producer known for a high-octane fusion of hard techno, trancey grooves and Brazilian funk rhythms and known for her viral hit "Silence Is Oppression," her WOMXN (What's Your Type?) and In My 2024 Era EPs, and her songs "The Holy Jane," "The Drama Queen," "Old With Cats," and "Single And Fab."
Before Fame
She completed a Master's in Architecture and then moved from Portugal to London in 2015. She then enrolled at Point Blank Music School, and began shifting away from her classical background into a more industrial techno sound. She released her song "Silence is Oppression" which became an instant hit in 2020 and helped boost her career and fame. She released her first EP WOMXN (What's Your Type?) in 2021.
Trivia
She is among the rare DJs with an architecture master's degree. She explained in an interview that Portuguese '90s kids absorbed tons of Brazilian TV and music. Her annual trips to Rio while growing up cemented her love of funk brasileiro and modern Brazilian pop. She has performed at Glitch Festival and Skyline Festival LA.
Family Life
Her real name is Carlota Correia Neves. She is from Portugal but relocated to England to pursue her music career.
