About
Belgian film director and screenwriter known for writing and directing the coming-of-age feature Young Hearts along with his acclaimed run of intimate LGBTQ+ short films including Kiss Me Softly, Follow Me, Hello, Stranger, and Petit Ami. He is also known for directing anthology and television projects like The Male Gaze: The Heat of the Night, 2DEZIT, and Northern Lights.
Before fame
He studied filmmaking at the KASK School of Arts (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) in Ghent. He then earned a master's degree in film studies and visual Culture at the University of Antwerp. He began directing short films in the early 2010s starting with When I See You in 2010 and followed by Kiss Me Softly in 2012, which became his first widely circulated project. He continued releasing short films including Follow Me in 2015, Hello, Stranger in 2016, and Petit Ami in 2017. His big break was releasing his first feature length film Young Hearts in 2024.

His film Young Hearts received a Special Mention in the Generation Kplus awards at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in 2024.
