It's believed that his mother may have bitten him on the head as a puppy, which caused his facial deformities.

His owners introduced him to his future fans in his September 21, 2019, Instagram debut.

His fans helped his owners raise $8,000 to adopt and move his companion dog from Texas to Canada. He has been featured in People magazine. His bestboybrodie Instagram page has garnered 600,000 followers.

His owners take care of him and a similar-looking dog named Raven.
