English graphic designer and creative director known for his influential work in magazine design, branding, and typography including being known for his work as art director of Ray Gun in 1997 and for leading major brand creative work at Microsoft where he helped launch projects such as Windows 11, Microsoft Copilot, Surface, Edge, and Microsoft 365.
Before fame
He studied graphic design at York College of Arts & Technology and graduated in 1990. He started out designing black-and-white flyers for local nightclubs, and one of his biggest early breaks came in 1994 when he worked on brochure and promotional materials for the first MTV Europe Music Awards.

He published the design monograph Disorder: Swiss Grit Volume II in 2025. He founded and has led Microsoft's Brand & Creative Studio.
