Connor "The Crusher" Michalek was an avid WWE fan who attracted international attention after a social media campaign was created so he could meet his hero Daniel Bryan. He suffered from brain and spinal cancer and passed away in 2014. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
He became afflicted with the terrible disease when he was just three years old.
WWE released a tribute video to Connor's memory, which went viral. He received the inaugural Warrior Award at the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
He and his younger brother Jackson were born to parents Steve Michalek and Brittany Caligiuri.
A non-profit charity called Connor's Cure was created by WWE executives Paul "Triple H" Levesque and Stephanie McMahon.
