Before Fame

She was exposed to music and instruments in early childhood. She was playing drums, writing songs, and performing with bandmates in LA by the time she was a teenager. She enrolled at Brown University where she played in the band HALFnHALF and led studio projects and live sets on campus. She released her first single "i'm not her" online in 2021. She released her debut EP Dancing With My Shadow in 2025.

Her full name is Daiela Simon-Seay. She was raised in a very musical family in Los Angeles, California. Her mother is a vocal producer and singer-songwriter coach, her father is a bass player, and her brother is a singer and producer.
