Basketball player known for playing as a five-star point guards along with being one of the top recruits in the 2025 class and known for playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the USA Basketball U18 national team, IMG Academy, and for Cass Technical High School. He is also known for his Instagram account @dariusacuff5 where he posts highlights and training content.

Before fame

He grew up in Detroit and attended Cass Technical High School where he quickly became one of the top players in Michigan. He earned all-state honorable mention as a freshman in 2022. He transferred to IMG Academy in Florida to further develop his basketball skills. He was a consensus five-star recruit by 2024. He began playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks in 2025 after signing with the program in November 2024.

Trivia

He was named MVP of the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup while leading Team USA to gold. He was selected to all three major all-star events in 2025 including McDonald's All-American, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit. He was named SEC Player of the Year, SEC Rookie of the Year, and First-Team All-SEC in 2026 during his collegiate freshman season. He earned Consensus First-Team All-American honors in 2026.

His full name is Darius Eugene Acuff Jr. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. His father Darius Acuff Sr. played college basketball at Eastern Kentucky.
