American author best known for specializing in the romantic suspense and time-travel genres. She has held multiple leadership roles with the Romance Writers of America, first serving on the Board of Directors, then as Director-at-Large, and ultimately as President. Some of her most popular works include the A-Tac series, Last Chance, the Liars Game series, as well as the Time After Time series and the Random Heroes Collection.

Before Fame

She obtained her bachelor's degree in political science and history from Hendrix College before earning her master's degree in public administration at Texas A&M University. Prior to publishing her debut novel Everything in its Time in 2000, she spent a decade working in public relations.

She has achieved numerous career accolades including the 2008 Golden Apple Award and the 2019 Emma Merritt Service Award. In 2013, she was also honored with the RWANY Lifetime Achievement Award.
