Chef best known as the host of the DMAX's Italian street food show Unti e Bisunti. He is a former rugby player who competed for clubs like Crociati Parma Rugby FC and Rugby Rovigo Delta until his retirement in 2011.
He debuted with Crociati Parma Rugby FC in 2002. After rugby, he attended the Gualtiero Marchesi cooking school.
His unique path from rugby to culinary stardom inspired the documentary Unto e Bisunto, the True Story of Chef Rubio (2016).
His brother is rugby player Giulio Rubini Gabriele.
