Before fame
She trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute before she attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2016 with concentrations in history, French, and theater. She performed with improv groups and leaned fully into comedy as both a performer and writer while in college. Her early screen work included playing Jess in the Facebook Watch teen series Turnt in 2018, which is also when she started appearing Dropout shows. Her big break was in 2021 when she joined The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Family life
She was born and raised in West Hollywood, California. She is the daughter of actress and comedian Claudia Lonow. She married comedian and Dropout creator Brennan Lee Mulligan in April 2023, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2024.
