Saudi Arabian filmmaker, writer, creative director, and cultural entrepreneur known for being the founder and CEO of Nisr Al-Arabi Films and for her 2021 short film Maskoon. She is also known for her Instagram account, where she shares information about her career with over 150,000 followers.

Before Fame

She grew up with an early passion for photography, and photographed street art, architecture, and the hidden gems of her home city.  She studied graphic design, fashion design, photography, and filmmaking. She took on full leadership of Nisr Films in 2019 before it was rebranded as Nisr Al-Arabi Films. Her breakthrough moment came with her debut short film Maskoon in 2021.

Trivia

Her film Maskoon premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival and was screened at the Saudi Film Festival in 2022. She has served as a Creative Consultant for major cultural institutions, including the Red Sea Film Festival Foundation.

Family Life

She grew up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She named her company Nisr Al-Arabi Films to honor her grandfather, filmmaker Jamil Malaika. She never met her grandfather, but inherited his film materials. Her father is businessman Saleh Malaikah.
