Luca Shaw

About

American professional downhill mountain bike racer who joined the Canyon Collective Factory Team roster in 2022. He has also been affiliated with Santa Cruz Syndicate, Specialized Racing Downhill, and SRAM/Troy Lee Designs Racing. He has competed at high levels including World Cups, World Championships, and National Championships. He has consistently ranked among the top ~5-10 worldwide athletes in downhill racing. 

Before Fame

He was first introduced to BMX racing when he was only four years old. At the age of eight, he relocated with his family to Hendersonville, NC. He went on to discover MTB downhill around the time he was thirteen years old. 

Trivia

In 2023, he won the U.S. National Championship Elite Men's Downhill title at the USA Gravity MTB National Championships in Rock Creek, NC. Over the course of his career, he has racked up at least six wins in UCI Downhill World Cup races. 

Family Life

His older brother, Walker, is also a competitive mountain biker. He was born to parents Doug Shaw and Griet Vandekerckhove.
