Before Fame

She was named Howard County Player of the Year as a junior and senior. She was named to the Maryland All-State and Nation All-USA Today Maryland Team as a junior. As of June 2022, she held the scoring record for both boys and girls at Long Reach, and had the only jersey number retired in the history of the school.  

Trivia

She chose UMBC over Yale University. She started in all 28 games as a freshman. In her redshirt sophomore year with the Essex Knights, she averaged 21.2 ppg, 6.9 apg, 4.9 rbg and 3 spg. She also makes art and plays multiple instruments. 

Family Life

Her twin sister, Jaelyn, also played at UMBC and attends University of North Florida. From the age of six until their senior year of high school, she and her sister played on the same basketball team. Her mother is former UMBC basketball star Karyn Swann.
