She attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Political Science, Economics, and Global Studies. She also completed minors in Spanish and International Affairs. She participated in the PhD Excellence Initiative Fellowship and pursued policy and research work in the mid-2010s. Family life
She was born in Conakry, Guinea before moving to the United States where she was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She is the youngest of seven sisters.
