British former Royal Marine Commando, Invictus Games athlete, author, and motivational speaker known for surviving a devastating battlefield injury that left him a triple amputee and eventually becoming one of the UK's most successful Invictus Games competitors. He is also known for being the UK's first triple amputee to survive the Afghanistan conflict.
Before fame
He joined the Royal Marines when he was 17 years old and began a military career that included operational service with 40 Commando. He sustained catastrophic injuries in 2007 during a routine patrol in Afghanistan when he stepped on an improvised explosive device. He survived extensive trauma and underwent a long period of intensive rehabilitation. He learned to walk again using prosthetic limbs and adapted to life as a triple amputee. He published his memoir Man Down in 2010 detailing his military service and recovery and marked the start of his career as a motivational speaker. He began sharing content about being a tiple amputee on YouTube in 2013. He began participating in the Invictus Games in 2017.
Trivia
He received an Exceptional Performance Award at the Invictus Games Toronto 2017. He won seven medals including four golds at the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. He drew national attention in January 2024 when thieves stole a set of his prosthetic legs from his car.

He married Becky Ormrod. He is a father to three children.
