He began painting at age six after finding his father's old acrylic paints while helping his grandfather clean out a garden shed.

At age 12, he earned a solo exhibition at Sandgrund in Karlstad after writing to watercolor artist Lars Lerin, who he considered an artistic inspiration. He later had more solo exhibitions at Sandgrund and Åland Art Museum and went on to study art in Florence, Italy.
