Nigerian American music producer, artist, songwriter, and audio engineer known for being the producer behind Ayo Jay's hit song "Your Number" and his long-running collaborative catalog with singer Gabzy, with whom he released fan-favorite songs such as "Stay," "In Fact," "Trouble," "Come Over," "4 Nothin'," and "Still Think of You." He is also known for his solo career of projects including Soon, Summers, THENIGHTISYOUNG, and ovrdose along with songs "Santorini Coffee," "Company," "Again," "Gentility," and "Usual."

Before fame

He began his music journey as a member of A'won Boyz, one of New York's early Afrobeats groups. He studied music formally and became known for his engineering and production skills. His breakthrough arrived when he produced Ayo Jay's "Your Number" which earned Gold certification in 2017. He began crafting his own music and released his debut EP Soon in December 2017.

Trivia

He engineered and produced multiple Wande Coal favorites including "Gentility" and "Again" which went viral on TikTok. He also sings on several of his own songs including "Hard to Love" and "Ohemaa." His collaborations with just Gabzy have amassed over 200 million streams as of 2025.

Family life

His real name given to him by his parents is Melvin Alli-Owe. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Nigerian parents and grew up between Brooklyn and Nigeria.
