Miguel Merentiel

About

Professional center-forward and winger who initially began his club career as a teenager with Peñarol in 2017. Since then, he has played soccer in leagues across Uruguay, Spain, Argentina, and Brazil. In November 2023, he signed a contract to play for the Boca Juniors Athletic Club. 

Before Fame

As a kid, he played for the Independencia Paysandú youth squad. He also played for Bella Vista Paysandú and Peñarol during his youth soccer career. 

Trivia

While playing for the Palmeiras Sports Club, he helped his team win the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A championship. He then followed that season with a 2023 Supercopa do Brasil title. 

Family Life

He lives with his girlfriend, Victoria, and their daughter, Nuria. His daughter was born on September 26, 2022.

He played alongside Marcos Rojo and Edinson Cavani as a member of the Boca Juniors during the 2023 club season.
