Lead vocalist and songstress of the dark pop quartet Transviolet, which broke through with singles called "New Bohemia" and "Girls Your Age" from their eponymous debut EP. In 2017, they released a 6-track album called Kaleidoscopes.
She sang at church and in school events beginning around the age of 8. She did her first open mic at the age of 17.
She was living in the Grand Cayman Islands when the beginnings of Transviolet were happening.
Her father Steve McTaggart and uncle Mike, brother of Steve, performed as a duo in the 1970s and '80s. She would live in 14 different places before turning 18 years old. Her cousins Will Verhoeven and Brett McTaggart helped shape her from a musical standpoint. They taught her to play guitar and helped her record her first songs.
