About

Professional soccer player popularly nicknamed Nyoso and widely known for his striking skills. He has alternated as a left winger, a right winger, and an attacking midfielder. He began playing as the latter for the Orlando Pirates in the year 2015. He also started his international career, representing the South Africa national team, in the year 2016. In addition to the Pirates, he has played for the Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United.

Before Fame

He launched his youth career playing for the Katlehong Young Stars in QwaQwa before starting his senior career at the ABC Motsepe League team Maluti TVET College in the year 2013. 

Trivia

He won Footballer of the Season and Players' Player of the Season at the 2019 Premier Soccer League Awards. His powerful season inspired the 2019 song, "Lorch" by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

Family Life

He is the son of Teboho Mokoena. He briefly dated actress Natasha Thahane from June to September of 2021. 

Associated With

He played alongside teammates including Lars Veldwijk, Percy Tau, and Dean Furman on the South Africa national team during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
