Before fame
His interest in book collecting began when he was 10 years old when author Caroline Lawrence identified and corrected an error in his first-edition copy of one of her books. He attended the University of St Andrews, worked at Topping & Company, and then spent seven years with Jonkers Rare Books. He began posting rare book videos during the United Kingdom's first 2020 COVID-19 lockdown.
