About

Indie rock and pop punk band formed in 1992 featuring vocalist and guitarist Greig Nori, vocalist and guitarist Bill Priddle, bassist Rosie Martin, and drummer Richard Mulligan. Although they were officially disbanded from 2006 to 2012, they were among the Top 150 selling Canadian musical artists in the entire country between 1996 and 2016. They are known for albums like "Wide Awake Bored" and "Detox," as well as for singles such as "Even Grable" and "American Psycho."

Before Fame

They were originally named NC-17. However, an American band with the same name threatened legal action in 1994, and they adopted the name Treble Charger. They independently released their debut album with the name NC17 that same year. It became a hit on numerous radio stations when it was re-released by Sonic Unyon Records in 1997.

Trivia

Their songs have been featured in the EA Sports NHL video game franchise and in promotions for films such as American Pie Presents: Band Camp and Dude, Where's My Car? They became one of the inaugural inductees to the Sault Ste. Marie Walk of Fame in 2006.
