Trivia
It is a successor to a 1973 anime of the same name. In Asia, the 1979 version of the show is often referred to as the Ōyama Edition.

Some of the series regulars of the show included Nobuyo Ōyama - Doraemon, Noriko Ohara - Nobita Nobi, Kaneta Kimotsuki - Suneo Honekawa, Kazuya Tatekabe - Takeshi "Gian" Goda, and Michiko Nomura - Shizuka Minamoto.
