Originally the Atlanta Thrashers, the team moved to Winnipeg in 2011, becoming the second NHL franchise to take on the name Winnipeg Jets.
Trivia
The team made its first playoff appearance in the new Winnipeg Jets era in 2015, but they were swept by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round. They play at Canada Life Centre, in Winnipeg.
