In 2005, they won the Juno Award for New Group of the Year. In 2023, their album Otherness won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year.
Trivia
The group's name was inspired by an adult performer named Alexis Fire. She threatened to sue them for trademark infringement, but dropped her claim because she had never registered her name.
