Biographical sports drama about swimmer Diana Nyad's multiple attempts to swim the dangerous waters between Cuba and the United States without a shark-protective cage. The film had its world premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival in September 2023. Annette Bening and Jodie Foster both received nominations for Best Actress and Supporting Actress at the 96th Academy Awards.
Trivia
The film is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin. It was based on Nyad's 2015 memoir Find a Way.
