Nepali Indian singer, composer, songwriter, and YouTuber known for being the front man of the pioneering rock band 1974 AD, a band known for hit songs such as "Nepali," "Sambodhan," "Pahilo Junima," "Parelima," "Samjhi Baschu," and "Chudaina Timro Mayale." He has also released music as a solo artist.
Before Fame
His musical life started early at St. Augustine's School where he sang in the school choir. His first instruments were the mouth organ and keyboard. He began playing the guitar in 1989. He switched to drums in 1995, which eventually made him one of the most versatile performers in Nepali rock. His first band was Eurika, followed by Flames. He moved to Kathmandu for the growing rock scene in 1994. He taught English and gave guitar lessons at Little Angels' School before teaching at Galaxy Public School. He began playing with 1974 AD initially as a piano player, and from 1998 he became a permanent member as vocalist, drummer, and harmonica player.
Trivia
He contributed to the multi-artist charity single "I Pray for You" in 2015 alongside Bipul Chettri and others. He is a self-described movie buff and names The Godfather and Sholay among his all-time favorites movies. He enjoys hiking and nature. He regularly uploads new songs and other musical content onto YouTube.

He was born and raised in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India. He has a son named Prajwal Raj Pradhan.
