AJ Griffin

About

Former McDonald's All-American athlete that was taken as a first round pick by the Atlanta Hawks during the 2023 NBA draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college basketball at Duke University. In the year 2022, he was named to the ACC All-Rookie Team.

Before Fame

He was considered a four-star recruit while at Archbishop Stepinac High School. While playing for Team USA he won gold at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Brazil. 

Trivia

As a freshman at Duke, he shot .447 percent from three which is the second highest percentage by a freshman in program history. In fact, it's the fifth highest percentage in Duke's history. He stands 6'6" tall and weighs about 220 pounds.

Family Life

Although he was born in Dallas, Texas, he spent his high school years living with his family in New York. He is the son of Adrian Griffin.
